End-User License & Membership Agreement

By creating an account, clicking "I Agree," completing registration, or otherwise accessing or using the Join AI Religion platform (the "Platform," "Service," or "Application") operated by Join AI Religion (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“User,” “Member,” or “you”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this End-User License & Membership Agreement (“Agreement”) in its entirety.

If you do not agree to all terms and conditions of this Agreement, you must immediately cease using the Platform and delete your account.

This Agreement constitutes a legally binding contract between you and Join AI Religion. We reserve the right to modify this Agreement at any time; continued use of the Platform after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

THE PLATFORM IS A FICTIONAL, EDUCATIONAL, REFLECTIVE SIMULATION AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT GAME. It is designed solely for purposes of intellectual exploration, self-reflection, and personal growth through the lens of comparative wisdom traditions, philosophy, and mythology.

• Not a Religion: Join AI Religion is not a religion, religious organization, faith community, spiritual authority, sect, cult, denomination, or any form of organized belief system. No part of the Platform constitutes religious instruction, doctrine, dogma, or ecclesiastical authority of any kind.
• Not a Substitute for Professional Services: The Platform does not provide — and must not be interpreted as providing — medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, counseling, legal, financial, or any other professional advice or services. No content generated by the Platform's artificial intelligence systems constitutes professional guidance of any kind.
• Fictional Narrative Framework: All "levels," "traditions," "sacred teachings," "lessons," scoring systems, XP (experience points), titles (e.g., "Seeker," "Initiate," "Transcendent"), and other gamified elements are entirely fictional constructs created for educational and motivational purposes. They carry no spiritual, theological, religious, or real-world authority whatsoever.
• AI-Generated Content: Responses, lessons, feedback, and assessments produced by the Platform's AI systems (powered by OpenAI's language models) are algorithmically generated. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, culturally insensitive, or unsuitable for any particular individual's circumstances. You assume full responsibility for how you interpret and act upon AI-generated content.

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Platform. By registering, you represent and warrant that: (a) you are at least 18 years old; (b) all registration information you provide is accurate, current, and complete; (c) you will maintain the accuracy of such information; and (d) your use of the Platform does not violate any applicable law or regulation.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

By creating an account, you expressly consent to receive electronic communications from Join AI Religion. These communications include, but are not limited to:

• Transactional Emails: Account verification, password reset, billing receipts, and account security notifications. These are essential to service delivery and cannot be opted out of while your account remains active.
• Onboarding Emails: Upon successful registration and email verification, you will automatically receive a welcome email containing your first lesson materials and platform orientation information.
• Platform Notifications: Lesson completions, level advancements, XP awards, and community announcements relevant to your journey on the Platform.
• Marketing and Promotional Communications: Information about Platform updates, new features, membership offers, and educational content. You may opt out of these at any time via the unsubscribe link included in every such email.

You acknowledge that this consent satisfies any requirement under applicable law, including the CAN-SPAM Act (United States), CASL (Canada), and GDPR (European Union), for us to send you the communications described above. Your right to withdraw consent at any time is preserved, subject to the distinction between transactional and promotional emails described above.

The Platform offers two optional membership tiers in addition to the free experience:

• Seeker (Supporter Donation): A voluntary monthly contribution to support continued Platform development and operation. This tier confers no additional features beyond the standard free experience and is offered as a patronage option for users who wish to support the Platform's mission.
• Initiate (Active Member): A monthly subscription granting enhanced access, including daily lesson submissions, personalized AI-generated lesson progressions, and priority features.

Billing and Subscription: Subscription fees are billed on a recurring monthly basis via Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. All fees are stated in US Dollars and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise noted.

Cancellation and Refunds: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused days in the current period unless required by applicable law. We reserve the right to issue refunds at our sole discretion on a case-by-case basis.

Payment of any subscription fee entitles you solely to access the software features described for that tier. No membership or payment guarantees, implies, or creates any spiritual benefit, personal transformation, psychological improvement, or outcome of any kind.

All content, software, source code, graphics, user interface elements, text, lesson materials, AI prompts, scoring systems, and Platform architecture (collectively, “Platform Content”) are the exclusive intellectual property of Join AI Religion or its licensors and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform for your personal, non-commercial use only. This license does not permit you to: (a) copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any Platform Content; (b) reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code; (c) use the Platform to train competing AI systems; or (d) create derivative works based on Platform Content without our express written consent.

Content you submit through the Platform (including lesson responses, profile information, and community contributions) remains your property, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, store, display, reproduce, and analyze such content for Platform operation, improvement, and research purposes, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

Your use of the Platform involves the collection, processing, and storage of personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. By using the Platform, you acknowledge and consent to the data practices described therein.

AI Interaction Data: Prompts, responses, scores, and lesson interactions submitted through the Platform may be used in aggregated, anonymized form to improve Platform functionality, AI model performance, and content quality. We do not sell individual user data to third parties.

Data Retention: Account data is retained for the duration of your membership and for a period of 12 months following account deletion or termination, after which it is permanently purged from active systems, subject to legal retention obligations.

Users in the European Economic Area (EEA): You may have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address provided in Section 13.

You agree not to use the Platform to:

• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
• Harass, abuse, threaten, impersonate, or harm any other user or third party.
• Transmit unsolicited commercial communications (spam) or malicious code.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Platform systems, other user accounts, or backend infrastructure.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to extract Platform Content or circumvent rate limits.
• Submit fabricated, misleading, or harmful content with the intent to deceive the AI scoring system or other users.
• Use the Platform to promote or recruit for actual religious organizations, cults, or any group that may cause harm to individuals.
• Exploit any AI outputs for commercial gain without our express written consent.

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension or termination, without notice or refund, at our sole discretion.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, JOIN AI RELIGION EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
• WARRANTIES THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
• WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, COMPLETENESS, OR TIMELINESS OF ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT.
• WARRANTIES THAT USE OF THE PLATFORM WILL PRODUCE ANY SPECIFIC SPIRITUAL, PERSONAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL, OR EDUCATIONAL OUTCOME.

You use the Platform entirely at your own risk. We make no representation that the Platform is appropriate or lawful for use in your jurisdiction.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL JOIN AI RELIGION, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

• INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
• DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT FOR MEDICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL, LEGAL, FINANCIAL, OR OTHER PROFESSIONAL DECISIONS.
• DAMAGES ARISING FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR DATA.
• DAMAGES ARISING FROM ANY THIRD-PARTY CONDUCT ON OR THROUGH THE PLATFORM.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS AGREEMENT OR YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU TO JOIN AI RELIGION IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100.00).

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for certain types of damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Join AI Religion and its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your violation of this Agreement; (b) your use or misuse of the Platform; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property right or privacy right; or (d) any claim that content you submitted caused damage to a third party.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without prior notice or liability, to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your account and access to the Platform for any reason, including but not limited to: (a) breach of this Agreement; (b) engaging in prohibited conduct; (c) prolonged inactivity; (d) fraud or misrepresentation; or (e) where required by law.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature. Upon termination, your license to use the Platform immediately ceases, and we may delete your account data in accordance with our data retention policy. Termination does not entitle you to any refund of prepaid subscription fees, except where required by applicable law.

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Join AI Religion is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to this Agreement or the Platform shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties for a period of 30 days. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules, on an individual basis (you waive any right to bring a class action or representative proceeding).

Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction where necessary to protect intellectual property rights or prevent irreparable harm.

• Entire Agreement: This Agreement, together with our Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Join AI Religion regarding the Platform and supersedes all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
• Severability: If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
• Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of this Agreement will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.
• Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under this Agreement without our prior written consent. We may freely assign this Agreement in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
• Language: This Agreement is provided in English. In the event of any conflict between the English version and a translation, the English version shall prevail.
• Updates to this Agreement: We will notify users of material changes to this Agreement via email or prominent in-Platform notice at least 14 days before changes take effect, where practicable. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
